Christmas 2009
Our family was truly blessed this year at Christmas! We had the opportunity to go watch Michael McLean in the Forgotten Carols. My family thought it was great. For the past 3 years we have read the book and listened to the CD so to see it live was a real treat. We had a family home evening lesson on the birth of Christ and our family had a great talk about what Christmas is really about. On Christmas Eve we sat together as a family and read the book put out by President Monson 'In Search of the Chirstmas Spirit'. Our kids were very attentive and were able to feel the spirit as we read and then prayed together. Ron and I are truly blessed to have such great kids and be chosen to be their parents. I have posted a few pics of what Christmas day was like for us this year!
This year the kids wanted PJ sweats so that's what they got. This picture is on Christmas Eve as we gathered together!!
We made treats for Santa and for ourselves. Mmmmmmmm good!!
Christmas morning before chaos struck! Yes- our kids are spoiled but they were very grateful and all four of them had happy faces!!
Kylie checking out her stocking.
Brendon is a COLTS fan through and through and was excited about getting a blanket (maybe he will now leave mine alone)!
Corbin said his favorite gift was a Dallas COWBOY blanket which he proudly draped around himself the whole day- he also loved his STAR WARS lego set which he put together by himself that day!
All Dallin wanted for Christmas was a knife and a gun- (should I be worried?)!
Grandma loved her pic of all the grandkids together!
We invited Grandma Simonsen down to have Christmas dinner with us- it's always fun to have her around!
Dallin and Corbin were doing the HAPPY DANCE all day long- what a great day!
Ron and Corbin broke in BAND HERO and I think Ron might have a chance as a drummer LOL!
Simonsen Family Christmas photo- we can't wait for Christmas next year. It was a great day!!
